“Should I buy now, or wait?” Instead of trying to predict the perfect market, ask yourself:

💬 Is the total monthly payment comfortable?
💬 Will I have savings left after closing?
💬 Is my income stable?
💬 Do I plan to stay for several years?

If the numbers work and you feel prepared, it may be worth exploring your options now.

If they don’t, waiting can be a smart strategy. Use the time to improve your credit, reduce debt, or build savings.

Looking for ways to make homeownership more affordable? A temporary buydown could help.

A temporary buydown may be a smart way to lower your monthly mortgage payment during the first 1-3 years of your loan. It can help you save money upfront and make the transition into homeownership a little more manageable.

One of the most common mortgage myths: You need 20% down to buy a house.

This is FALSE! Many programs require as little as 3-5% down. Waterstone Mortgage even offers several programs with NO down payment requirement.

On top of that, you may qualify for assistance to help cover your down payment and/or closing costs, decreasing your out-of-pocket costs even further.

Homeownership can be closer than you think. 💭🏠 Send a DM to chat about your options.

One of the biggest topics homebuyers have questions about? Credit. 📈

Your credit score is one of several factors lenders consider during the mortgage process. While a higher score may help you qualify for more favorable loan options, there are loan programs available for a wide range of credit profiles.

A few ways to strengthen your credit:
✔ Pay bills on time.
✔ Keep credit card balances low.
✔ Avoid opening multiple new accounts before applying for a mortgage.
✔ Review your credit report regularly for accuracy.
