Life insurance protects everything your life supports: the income your household depends on, the home your family lives in, the education you hope to provide, and the legacy you want to leave behind.

Those responsibilities continue even when life changes unexpectedly. Properly structured coverage helps ensure the people and plans connected to your life can continue as well.

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month.

Protect what your life supports.

American Independent is proud to congratulate our CEO, Brian Crater, on earning the Certified Home Equity Advisor designation.

The CHEA designation provides specialized training in the strategic and responsible use of housing wealth within a comprehensive financial plan, including mortgage, reverse mortgage, and home equity strategies alongside broader financial, legal, and tax-efficient objectives.

Brian was part of the first national class for the designation, and fewer than 100 advisors currently hold the CHEA credential.

This achievement reflects AIFG’s continued commitment to deeper education, broader planning conversations, and helping clients evaluate important financial decisions with greater structure and clarity.

Congratulations, Brian.

On September 11, 2001, America was attacked on our own soil.

Innocent Americans went to work, boarded flights, reported for duty, kissed their families goodbye, and began what should have been an ordinary morning.

By day’s end, thousands of lives had been taken, families had been shattered, and smoke rose over a wounded nation.

But America did not stay down.

From the ashes came courage.

First responders climbed into danger. Strangers became neighbors. Communities carried one another. Families endured unimaginable loss. Men and women across the country raised their hands to serve.

The enemies of freedom believed they could break the American spirit.

They were wrong.

September 11th showed the world the cost of hatred. But it also showed the world the strength, resolve, and unity of the American people.

Twenty-five years later, we remember those we lost, honor those who gave everything, and give thanks for a nation that rose from the ashes with its flag still flying.

May we never forget. 🇺🇸

42% of American adults believe they do not have enough life insurance coverage.

It represents millions of families who may be financially vulnerable if the unexpected happens.

Life Insurance Awareness Month is a good time to review what you have, understand what it protects, and determine whether it still fits your family’s needs. A simple conversation today can provide greater certainty for the people who depend on you tomorrow.

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month.

Life insurance is ultimately about people. It helps families remain financially secure, allows businesses to continue, preserves the legacy someone spent a lifetime building, and provides stability when it is needed most.

Throughout September, we’ll be sharing practical information to help individuals, families, and business owners better understand what life insurance can accomplish, how much protection may be appropriate, and why existing coverage should be reviewed as life changes.

There is no better time to start the conversation. Life happens. Let’s make sure you’re prepared for it.

250 years ago, America declared to the world that liberty was not the privilege of kings, but the right of a free people.

From thirteen colonies emerged a nation founded on an extraordinary idea: that government exists by the consent of the governed, and that individuals possess rights no ruler may simply take away.

For two and a half centuries, generations of Americans have fought, sacrificed, built, served, endured, and carried that promise forward.

America has never been perfect. But no nation in history has done more to advance liberty, expand opportunity, confront tyranny, and give ordinary people the freedom to build extraordinary lives.

Today, we do more than celebrate a birthday.

We honor those who came before us. We give thanks for the country they entrusted to us. And we accept our responsibility to preserve it for those who will follow.

Two hundred and fifty years later, the American experiment continues.

May we remain worthy of it.

Happy Independence Day, America. May the promise of liberty endure for generations to come. 🇺🇸

The grandest flag, for the greatest nation on earth. 🇺🇸

Today, we honor the flag of the United States of America.

Adopted by the Second Continental Congress on June 14, 1777, the American flag has stood as a symbol of liberty, sacrifice, unity, and national purpose for nearly 250 years.

It has flown over moments of triumph and hardship, over battlefields and hometowns, over generations of Americans who inherited both the blessings and responsibilities of freedom.

On Flag Day, we remember that the flag is more than cloth and color.

Old Glory is a reminder of who we are, who we’ve been, and who we will be. 🇺🇸

82 years ago, more than 150,000 brave Allied young men stormed the beaches of Normandy in the largest amphibious military assault in history.

These men came from all religions, races, creeds, and walks of life. They came from across this great nation and from nations around the world, brought together by one shared purpose: to stop evil, rid the world of tyranny and oppression.

They stepped into history with the weight of freedom on their shoulders.

Their courage helped preserve freedom for generations they would never meet.

Today, we honor and admire the bravery of those soldiers, and we remember the sacrifice of those killed, wounded, or missing in action. 🇺🇸

Vive la liberté!

“Those who say that we’re in a time when there are no heroes, they just don’t know where to look...
..Beyond those monuments to heroism is the Potomac River, and on the far shore the sloping hills of Arlington National Cemetery, with its row upon row of simple white markers bearing crosses or Stars of David. They add up to only a tiny fraction of the price that has been paid for our freedom.

Each one of those markers is a monument to the kind of hero I spoke of earlier. Their lives ended in places called Belleau Wood, The Argonne, Omaha Beach, Salerno, and halfway around the world on Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Pork Chop Hill, the Chosin Reservoir, and in a hundred rice paddies and jungles of a place called Vietnam.

Under one such marker lies a young man, Martin Treptow, who left his job in a small town barbershop in 1917 to go to France with the famed Rainbow Division. There, on the western front, he was killed trying to carry a message between battalions under heavy artillery fire.

We’re told that on his body was found a diary. On the flyleaf under the heading, ‘My Pledge,’ he had written these words: ‘America must win this war. Therefore I will work, I will save, I will sacrifice, I will endure, I will fight cheerfully and do my utmost, as if the issue of the whole struggle depended on me alone.’”

President Ronald Reagan
First Inaugural Address, January 20, 1981

Today, we remember the Americans who gave all for the freedom entrusted to us. 🇺🇲

We proudly recognize our CDO, Robin Bales, on earning her Registered Social Security Analyst designation. 🎉

Robin has been a steady force behind the growth of American Independent. She brings a level of discipline and clarity that shows up in how we think, how we plan, and how we serve people every day.

This designation fits her. It is a rigorous academic pursuit, and it sharpens something she already does well, understanding how decisions actually play out over time.

Social Security is one of the largest income streams most people will ever rely on. But most treat it like a box to check instead of a decision to think through.

That is where this matters.

For business owners especially, Social Security is tied directly to payroll, compensation, and the real cost of benefits. When you start looking at those dollars as part of a bigger picture instead of just another expense, the conversation changes. The decisions get clearer. The outcomes get more intentional.

That is how Robin approaches planning!

She continues to raise the standard around her, not by talking about it, but by doing the work and deepening her understanding.

We are proud of her, and grateful for the example she sets! 💯
