Western Feedstock Technologies - Montana Malters

Western Feedstock Technologies (WFT) is the parent company for Big Sky Malts and builds Montana Malters' malting systems (patent pending).

After four years of R&D we are opening our new malthouse in Bozeman, MT in August 2015. This
will be the malthouse and facility for the development of the one ton per week system, and home brewer (20-100 lbs/week) scale malting systems. We will continue to use our pilot scale 'Montana Malter' to malt barley, wheat, oats and rye with a current capacity of 600 lbs / week. We are planning a KickStarter campaign to raise capital to buy a new coffee roaster and will soon also be adding a flour mill and grain flaker to our facility. We have space for an analytical lab where we can test incoming barley for DON (vomitoxin) to assure that the grain we malt is of the highest possible quality and meets FDA standards of at or below 1 ppm without requiring blending. We will also use the lab to perform standard malt analyses to include with all of our malt sales. There will be a small retail area where we will sell our malts and grains to locals and Bozeman visitors. Our webpage will be live soon at westernfeedstocks.com
