Here’s why myself and many of my clients use an Indexed Universal Life Insurance Policy (IUL) as part of our financial portfolio. 👇👇👇
Between years 1930-2012, the S&P 500 Index averaged an annual return of 5.92%. Now for the same time period, remove all negative years and replace each with 0% (IUL’s have a floor of 0%) which now gives us an average annual return of 11.46%. IUL’s will capture approximately 80-90% of their market (cap rates) - in this example, your average annual return would be 9.16%.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, it grows 100% TAX-FREE 😁! (Reference section 7702 of the Internal Revenue Code). A cash value life insurance policy such as an IUL is nicknamed the “Rich People Roth” for a number of very significant reasons. I don’t have a crystal ball but it wouldn’t surprise me if taxes went up in the future given the current deficit, underfunding of Social Security and longevity of today’s retirees.
There’s a reason why wealthy utilize this strategy as part of their financial portfolio. If you plan on becoming wealthy, doesn’t it make sense to do what the wealthy do??? 💡
