Steven J. Smitten, ABMM Regional Director Steven J. As Regional Director, Steven is the head ABMM’s business expansion into Florida.

Smitten has spent the last 30 years in the financial services industry as both an advisor and manager, focusing on the public and non-profit sector of retirement planning. In addition to working with the clients in his personal practice, he is responsible for the hiring, training and development of all ABMM Financial professionals in the state as well as the management of all local association relationships. More recently, he has been tasked with establishing ABMM’s presence in Vermont while he “reverse snowbirds”. We're still smiling after a magical night celebrating one of Manatee County's own!

Congratulations to Cliff Dawson, Braden River High School, on being named the 2027 Invested in Excellence Award recipient! Presented by the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations and Florida Power & Light, this honor recognizes educators who inspire students and expand learning opportunities.

We are excited to announce that we are an A School for the 5th year in a row!!!

Official grades are released, and Paxton ranks #2 in K-12 schools across the state! Our students and staff have worked very hard for another great year!

We "Brought it Back Better" this year and increased our overall score as a school by 10 points! What an achievement for our school!
