October is almost over, and Medicare Open Enrollment is moving right along. 💙

Since October 15, you've had the opportunity to start exploring your Medicare options for 2027. But here's a question worth asking yourself before November begins:

Have you taken a moment to look at what your healthcare coverage could look like next year?

Sometimes, it's easy to assume that if your current plan worked well this year, it'll work just as well next year. But plans can change, and so can your healthcare needs.

A doctor you've been seeing, a prescription you rely on, or even a change in your budget could make reviewing your coverage worthwhile.

You don't need to feel overwhelmed by the process. Start with a simple review of your current plan, pay attention to any notices you've received, and compare your available options if something no longer fits your needs.

And if you haven't started yet, don't worry. October isn't the finish line. You still have time to review your choices before Medicare Open Enrollment ends on December 7.

As we head into November, consider this your friendly reminder to give your 2027 Medicare coverage a closer look.

At Kendall Chanley Agency, we're here to help you navigate your Medicare questions and better understand your options.

💬 Tell us: Have you started reviewing your Medicare coverage for 2027, or are you planning to do it in November?

We're always glad to hear from you!

Is your Medicare plan still working for you, or could 2027 be the year to make a better-informed choice? 💙

Choosing a Medicare plan is about more than selecting a monthly premium. It is about understanding your healthcare needs, knowing what your coverage includes, and making sure the plan you choose supports both your health and your budget.

As Medicare Open Enrollment continues, now is an important time to pause, review your current coverage, and consider whether it still aligns with your needs for the year ahead. Even if you are satisfied with your current plan, taking the time to compare your options can help you identify important differences in costs, provider networks, and prescription drug coverage.

✨ Remember: The right Medicare plan is not necessarily the one with the lowest premium. It is the one that best fits your individual healthcare needs, preferred providers, prescription medications, and financial circumstances.

Taking time to review these details now can help you approach your 2027 Medicare decisions with greater clarity and confidence.

📅 Medicare Open Enrollment runs from October 15 through December 7. Use this opportunity to review your coverage and compare the options available to you for 2027.

At Kendall Chanley Agency, we believe informed decisions begin with understanding your options. Our goal is to help you navigate the Medicare process and make choices with your needs in mind.

💬 Have questions about reviewing your Medicare options for 2027? Reach out to Kendall Chanley Agency. We're here to help you understand your choices.

💙 3 Things to Know About Proposed Medicare Protections

Your healthcare coverage should give you peace of mind, not leave you wondering whether your doctor is in-network or if you could face unexpected medical costs.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has proposed new safeguards for people enrolled in Medicare Advantage plans. These proposed changes focus on making provider directories more accurate and helping protect members from higher out-of-network costs when incorrect directory information leads them to an out-of-network provider.

Here’s why this matters to you:

🔹 More accurate provider information: Finding a doctor who accepts your plan should be easier when provider directories are kept up to date.

🔹 Greater cost protection: The proposal includes safeguards for situations where inaccurate directory information leads members to receive care outside their plan’s network.

🔹 Stay informed about your coverage: Even as policies evolve, it’s important to verify your doctors, review your plan details, and understand your benefits before receiving care.

Remember, these measures are proposed changes, not necessarily final requirements. Staying informed can help you feel more confident about your Medicare decisions.

At Kendall Chanley Agency, our goal is to make Medicare easier to understand, so you can make informed decisions about your healthcare coverage. 💙

💬 Do you know whether your current doctors are in your Medicare Advantage plan’s network? It may be a good time to check!

Tomorrow, the Medicare mailers, phone calls, plan information, and questions may start feeling a little louder.

And if you're feeling a little overwhelmed by it all, you're not alone.

You don't need to understand every Medicare term or compare every option on your own.

Sometimes the most helpful first step is simply having someone walk through what you're looking at and answer the questions that matter to you.

Maybe your question is:

💊 “Are my prescriptions still covered?”

👩‍⚕️ “Can I keep seeing my doctor?”

💰 “Why did my costs change?”

🏥 “Are my benefits still the same?”

Or maybe it's simply:

“I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking for.”

That's okay too.

A good Medicare review isn't about changing your plan just for the sake of changing it. It's about understanding what you have, understanding what may be different, and knowing what your options are.

💙 If you haven't had a chance to sit down and go through your coverage yet, we'd be happy to help you make sense of it.

📞 “Medicare is calling.”

Would you know whether the person on the other end of the phone is someone you should be talking to?

With Medicare Open Enrollment beginning October 15, you may start seeing more Medicare-related calls, advertisements, and offers. It can be easy to feel like you need to respond right away, especially when the caller makes the conversation sound urgent.

You don't.

Take a moment. Ask questions. And most importantly, protect your personal information.

🚩 Be cautious if an unexpected caller asks for your Medicare Number, Social Security Number, financial information, or other personal details.

🚩 Don't feel pressured to make a Medicare decision simply because someone called you.

🚩 If you're unsure who you're speaking with, hang up and contact Medicare directly at 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227). Medicare advises people not to share their Medicare Number or other personal information with someone who contacts them unless they contacted them first and gave permission to be contacted.

And remember, AEP is a time to review your coverage, not a reason to rush into a decision. The 2026 Open Enrollment Period runs October 15 through December 7 for coverage changes for 2027.

At Kendall Chanley Agency, we want our clients and community to feel informed, prepared, and confident during AEP.

📌 Save this Reel and share it with someone you love who has Medicare. A quick reminder today could help someone pause before sharing information with the wrong person.

What if the hardest part isn’t the hospital stay… but what comes after?

When a serious illness or unexpected health event happens, most of us naturally think about the immediate medical care first.

But recovery can look very different from person to person.

You may need time to regain your strength. You may have follow-up appointments, rehabilitation, transportation needs, help around the house, or other unexpected expenses along the way.

And sometimes, recovery takes longer than anyone expected.

That’s why planning for your health isn’t only about knowing what your Medicare coverage includes. It’s also about thinking through what life could look like during the recovery period.

Would you have the financial flexibility to focus on getting better if you needed extra support for several weeks or even longer?

This is one reason some people explore critical illness or recovery-related coverage as part of their overall insurance planning. These types of policies can vary significantly, including what conditions are covered, how benefits work, and what limitations apply.

We believe these conversations are worth having before you need them.

Because preparing for the unexpected isn't about expecting something bad to happen.

It’s about knowing your options and feeling more confident about the protection you have in place.

💬 Have you ever thought about what your recovery could look like after a serious illness?

👉 Want to understand how critical illness coverage could fit into your overall protection plan? Send us a message.

A serious illness can change more than your health. ❤️

When something unexpected happens, most people naturally think about the medical care first.

But what happens after the hospital stay?

Recovery can bring its own set of challenges, from rehabilitation and follow-up care to transportation, help at home, and other everyday expenses.

Medicare can cover many medically necessary services, including certain inpatient rehabilitation care, but what you pay can vary depending on the type of care you receive, where you receive it, and what other coverage you have.

And sometimes, the financial impact of an illness goes beyond the medical bill.

You may need to think about:

🏠 Help at home while you're recovering
🚗 Transportation to appointments or treatments
💊 Ongoing care and follow-up
💰 Additional expenses that can come with a longer recovery

That's why it's worth understanding not only how your Medicare coverage works, but also what other protection may be available to help with the financial side of a serious illness.

Critical illness coverage is one option some people consider for additional financial protection. Coverage, eligible conditions, benefits, and limitations vary by policy, so it's important to understand the details before making a decision.

At Kendall Chanley Agency, we believe these conversations shouldn't start after something happens.

They should start while you're healthy, have time to ask questions, and can understand your options.

💬 Have you ever thought about what your finances would look like during a long recovery?

You may have heard that Medicare Advantage premiums are going down. Good news, right? 👀 Maybe. But here's what I want you to know before you relax.

Every fall, I sit down with people who tell me the same thing: "My premium went down, so I figured I was all set." And every fall, I gently ask them to check a few more things first.

Here's why. The monthly premium is just one number on your plan. The real cost of your coverage lives in the details:

✅ Your doctors and hospitals. Are they still in your plan's network for 2027?
✅ Your prescriptions. Are they still covered, and is the cost the same?
✅ Your copays and out-of-pocket maximum. Did they go up?
✅ Your extra benefits. Dental, vision, hearing, and OTC allowances can change from year to year.

A lower premium doesn't help much if your doctor leaves the network or your medication costs more come January.

📬 Here's the part most people miss: your plan is required to mail you an Annual Notice of Change (ANOC). It's the one place your plan tells you exactly what's changing on January 1. If it's sitting in a pile of mail, this is your sign to open it today. I know it looks like boring paperwork, but a few minutes now can save you a surprise later.

I started sharing these tips because Medicare is confusing, and nobody should have to figure it out alone. Whether it's you, your parent, or a neighbor, everyone deserves plain-English answers without the pressure.

💬 Have a question about your plan or your ANOC? Drop it in the comments or send us a DM.

📲 Know someone with Medicare Advantage? Send this to them, especially the person who lets the mail pile up. They'll thank you before January.

➕ Follow for simple, honest Medicare tips all year long.

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.

📋 AEP is coming. Before you make any Medicare decisions, keep these DOs and DON'Ts in mind.

If you're already 65 and on Medicare, or you're helping a parent or loved one review their coverage, these simple reminders can help you avoid overlooking something important.

✅ DO review your plan changes.
❌ DON'T assume everything stayed the same.

✅ DO check your prescriptions and doctors.
❌ DON'T look at the monthly premium alone.

✅ DO ask questions if something doesn't make sense.
❌ DON'T wait until the last minute to review your options.

The goal isn't to make a change just because AEP is here.

It's to make sure you understand your coverage before deciding what to do.

📅 AEP runs October 15 through December 7.

📌 Save this carousel so you have these reminders when AEP begins.

And if you have a parent, spouse, or friend on Medicare, send this to them. They may appreciate the reminder. 💙

Which DON'T do you think people are most likely to forget? 👇
1. Assume nothing changed
2. Look only at the premium
3. Wait until the last minute
