So many people can relate to this picture. My first conversation with my husband about buying a home was right after we realized our apartment was broken into. I was 8 and a half months pregnant with pregnancy brain at a record high. We were in the process of getting carpets cleaned and organizing when my husband kept asking me where multiple items were. Having pregnancy brain (yes it is a real thing) I just assumed I forgot where I put it. We started to investigate further around the apartment and realized jewelry, money and a few electronics were gone and our bedroom window was fixed so the young man could come whenever he wanted. Scary, I know! I said, "we are moving". He replied," we are getting a house". I did not think we were at that point in our lives yet. I was thinking about renting a different apartment. Well I am thankful my husband found the right people to walk us through the process of buying a house because in our case we were able to own our 4 bedroom 2 bath home with a huge backyard for only $200 more than what we were paying for our little apartment. I say all of this not to brag but to speak to someone who may be in the same position we were in and let you know that having your home does not have to be some unobtainable dream.
