Wishing a Happy Birthday to Kevin!

Kevin learned to stay calm under pressure at just 16 years old—as a peewee football referee, where he quickly discovered that the parents could be tougher than the players.

That experience taught him patience, clear communication, and how to navigate challenging situations with a level head. Today, those same qualities help him guide local business owners as a Commercial Risk Advisor and build the trusted relationships that make our community stronger.

Across Washington and Oregon, late summer and early fall often bring increased deer activity—especially during the early morning and evening hours.

If you're behind the wheel, keep these reminders in mind:
• Slow down in posted wildlife crossing areas
• Scan both sides of the road, particularly at dawn and dusk
• If you see one deer, expect others nearby
• Use high beams when appropriate and safe to do so
• Avoid swerving suddenly, which can increase the risk of a more serious collision

A little extra awareness can help keep both drivers and wildlife safer this season.

Wishing Jake a very Happy Birthday!

Jake’s first job as a line cook taught him the value of hard work, teamwork, and taking care of the people in front of you. Those lessons still show up today in the way he collaborates with local business owners and looks for meaningful ways to make an impact.

That same spirit carries into his community involvement, where he coaches and volunteers with local Special Olympics athletes.

Mercedes gets a second celebration this month!
