One of the top reasons insurance carriers are leaving the State of California and are having sky rocketing rates, is because of auto theft. So many insurance carriers are overwhelmed with auto theft cases, but there are things we can do to help stop auto theft. The ideal thing would be to lock your vehicle inside a lock garaged. If you don’t have a garage try getting a certified mechanic to install a kill switch on your vehicle. Lastly, something so simple as always remember to lock your vehicle and not leave valuables in your car can also prevent brake ins. What ever you choose please be safe and aware of your surroundings.
With the rise in Oakland’s crime rate a reigning concern for many of the city's residents and businesses, new figures showed that the number of auto thefts have hit an astounding 10,823 so far this year. That’s an average of more than 40 vehicles stolen a day.
