Anthropic, the maker of Claude, is becoming a hot word in the Wall Street and investing world. What is going on with that company and market news about Anthropic? This ASL video will discuss IPO in general for the Deaf community.

IPO, initial public offering, is a company selling their shares to the public market for the first time. Statistics, collected and analyzed by Professor Jay R. Ritter of University of Florida, showed that since 1980s, nearly 13.3% of the large IPO companies have positive long run, 46.7% of companies with $100m sales have positive long run, and smaller IPO companies have better long term share's price growth. This shows that smaller IPOs were more likely to grow, while large caps were more prone to decline.

This ASL video discusses the dangers of buying into IPO stocks and what is a better way to invest in general. This is not a statement that you cannot buy into IPO; buying into IPO requires a proper mindset, expectation, and ideal for a short-term trading in general.

The current US administration with Congress passed the bill last year to create "Trump Account" that creates an "IRA for kids", starting this year.

The Trump Account will come with $1k initial deposit from the US government (paid from your taxes) for all babies born in USA last year Jan 1 2025 to Dec 31, 2028.

To get that, need to file an IRS tax form with your tax return to ask for it then once the Trump Account program starts in June/July 2026, you will be contacted by the US government to set up the Trump Account for your new babies.

For other kids born before Jan 1, 2025, can set up Trump Account.

Very good reminder about the power of the stock market as a good way to build up wealth. 😁

The picture shows there is ZERO percent chance the investment in S&P 500 will lose money over 20 YEARS. Meaning if you started your investment in 2000 with $100, your investment would grow to higher amount at year 2020 if put in S&P 500. 😲

Exceptions:
US blow up, Earth gets hit by a comet, a great war that destroys the world economy, and other extraordinary event that shatters the current norms. 🫣
