The current US administration with Congress passed the bill last year to create "Trump Account" that creates an "IRA for kids", starting this year.

The Trump Account will come with $1k initial deposit from the US government (paid from your taxes) for all babies born in USA last year Jan 1 2025 to Dec 31, 2028.

To get that, need to file an IRS tax form with your tax return to ask for it then once the Trump Account program starts in June/July 2026, you will be contacted by the US government to set up the Trump Account for your new babies.

For other kids born before Jan 1, 2025, can set up Trump Account.

Very good reminder about the power of the stock market as a good way to build up wealth. 😁

The picture shows there is ZERO percent chance the investment in S&P 500 will lose money over 20 YEARS. Meaning if you started your investment in 2000 with $100, your investment would grow to higher amount at year 2020 if put in S&P 500. 😲

Exceptions:
US blow up, Earth gets hit by a comet, a great war that destroys the world economy, and other extraordinary event that shatters the current norms. 🫣

There is an investment strategy that could work for you if you have a small money to start with and can add a small money repeating such as weekly.

That is called Dollar Cost Averaging.

Good bye penny!

This autumn, US Mint, the issuer of coins, will stop ordering more pennies and focus on what they already have to give to who needs pennies then no more.

Only 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 ($1) cents will continue to produce.

The U.S. Mint has made its final order of penny blanks and plans to stop producing the coin when those run out.

OPM finally set up online application for federal retirement for most federal employees! No more papers papers papers then long waiting for papers to be reviewed to get a full OPM pension!

The application online opened today.

The federal personnel agency has launched an online system for processing retirement applications, ending a paper-based method that had remained largely unchanged for decades.
