Zelle, wire transfers, and ACH aren’t “payments”—they’re cash with a send button. Once it’s gone, it’s usually gone. If it lands in a scammer’s account, don’t expect the bank to rescue it.

Here’s the play:

They create urgency. “Send it now.”
You hit send. Money shows up in seconds.
They move it just as fast—out, split up, or through a chain of accounts. Then the account disappears.

Result: fast out, no path back.

Bottom line: Zelle, wires, and ACH are easy to send—and extremely hard to recover. Use them only when you’re certain who’s on the other side.
