If you choose to drink, please don't choose to drive! Just a DUI ticket alone can ruin your life. But imagine if you hit someone? ๐ค Don't be a party foul, use a sober driver, rideshare, or taxi. Have a plan before the first drink and never let friends drive impaired.

Impaired driving prevention emphasis takes over statewide this holiday season
Twin Falls County -- The Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office is joining the Idaho Transportation Departmentโs Office of Highway Safety (OHS) and other law enforcement agencies across the state to prevent impaired driving this holiday season. Now through the New Year, our deputies are participating in the โDrive Sober or Get Pulled Overโ campaign, putting additional focus on education and impaired driving enforcement on Idaho roads.
In 2024, 86 people were killed in impaired driving related crashes in Idaho -- thatโs 36% of all traffic fatalities.
While these numbers are a stark reminder of whatโs at stake, itโs important to recognize the everyday heroes who help prevent tragedy. The designated drivers, the friends who call a rideshare, and the people who plan ahead before their first drink. Every sober ride home is a life protected, a crash prevented, and a family kept whole.
As you celebrate the holiday season, join the movement to end impaired driving by following these simple steps:
Use a sober driver, rideshare, or taxi.
Never let friends drive impaired.
Have a plan before the first drink.
