All Evacuation Orders and warnings for the Blue Ridge Fire have been lifted and repopulation was initiated as of 5:00 PM on October 28.

Fire spread has slowed due to the decrease in winds and humidity over the fire area. Firefighters continue to make progress constructing direct handline and working perimeter control.

Firefighters worked through the night mopping-up and bolstering control lines. Crews will take advantage of favorable conditions today to build additional line, mop-up, and patrol the fire perimeter.
