On Monday evening, four members of the chapter proudly graduated from the Citizens Police Academy. Hosted by the Tupelo Police Department, the six-week educational training program is designed to provide citizens with a greater understanding of local law enforcement operations, federal and state laws, and the important role of community partnerships in public safety. Participants attended informative sessions covering a variety of topics, including Patrol Operations, Firearm Safety, Juvenile Law, Criminal Investigations, Use of Force, and Constitutional Law. Participants also completed a four-hour Ride-Along with a police officer and took part in simulated traffic stop exercises. We are proud of our members for taking the initiative to expand their knowledge of the law enforcement system and strengthen their ability to serve as informed, engaged citizens within our community.

NSO showed its support for the St. Jude Bike-A-Thon by making a $500 donation, providing educational resources on voting, and helping several individuals with the voter registration process. As the youth enjoyed ICEEs, we fellowshipped with NPHC, reinforcing the idea that we are Better Together!
