There’s a lot of insurance advice floating around on TikTok right now… and honestly, a lot of it is just flat out wrong.

I’ve recently seen videos claiming that insurance companies ask for “unnecessary” information when running quotes — that’s simply not true. The information we ask for is what allows us to give you accurate pricing, proper coverage, and make sure there are no surprises if you ever have to file a claim.

I even had someone tell me the other day that older drivers don’t have to carry auto insurance… because they saw it on TikTok. That is 100% false.

I get it — short videos are quick and easy to watch. But when it comes to something as important as protecting your home, your vehicles, and your family, TikTok is not the place to get your facts.

Also, be careful clicking those “get more info” buttons on random ads. That usually puts your information into a lead system, and next thing you know your phone is blowing up all day with calls and texts.

If you ever have questions about your coverage, what’s required, or what actually matters — talk to a licensed agent who can give you real answers.
