MAKE YOUR BITCOIN WORK TWICE!
Most investors think about capital in a fairly linear way: You own an asset… You sell the asset. Then you take the cash and invest it somewhere else. But the smarter people want more, and they get it by asking: “What if I didn't have to sell the first asset to invest in the second?”
That is where Bitcoin-backed lending gets interesting. If you understand Bitcoin’s nature, long-term trajectory, and four-year cycle, you know why “now” is the best time.
Imagine, if you will, that you are an investor who owns $10 million in Bitcoin and understands that the next “bull wave” is coming. Selling your BTC to invest in a private placement creates an obvious problem... you don't want to miss out on this cycle's "bull wave". Instead, use the Bitcoin as collateral.
Billionaire Michael Saylor says Bitcoin is entering "hyper-growth mode" right now, calling it a "BTC gold rush." 🚀
In a financial demonstration FlarePoint Capital Partners recently modeled, $10 million of BTC supports a $7.5 million loan at 75% LTV. You retain economic exposure to Bitcoin while deploying the $7.5 million of loan proceeds into a completely different investment strategy.
Now your capital has two jobs.
Layer ONE: Bitcoin… You get the asset appreciation.
Layer TWO: Private Markets… The borrowed capital is deployed into a carefully underwritten private placement with its own economics, cash flows, collateral, and return profile. And this is where the strategy becomes much more interesting than simply adding leverage.
You have diversified the source of return… Instead of relying exclusively on the Bitcoin marketplace, you now have two fundamentally different return engines.
The numbers illustrate the concept.
Our model begins with:
$10,000,000 of Bitcoin collateral; $7,500,000 loan proceeds; 75% initial LTV; 7.5% annual interest; 5-year term
Let’s use a historical forecast model projecting BTC to appreciate from $83,500 to $208,700 over five years. (conservative estimate according to Michael Saylor's predictions) Despite accumulated financing costs and collateral liquidation required by the modeled loan mechanics, the loan is fully settled from the Bitcoin collateral at termination, and approximately $13 million of Bitcoin value remains for the borrower.
You can visit FlarePoint's website in October to try our newest calculator that proves these outcomes, and even run your own scenarios and forecasts.
But remember something important: You also had $7.5 million working in a separate private investment for those five years. The relevant question is no longer simply: "How much did my Bitcoin appreciate?" It becomes: "What was my combined return from the retained BTC, PLUS the return on my investment?"
That is capital efficiency. Of course, leverage isn't magic. Bitcoin can decline. Margin thresholds matter. Interest compounds. Private investments can lose money. Liquidity matters. Loan structure matters enormously. In fact, our model includes a margin event during the Bitcoin cycle. That is intentional. A useful financial model should expose the ugly parts of a strategy, not just advertise the pretty ones.
That's why I believe the opportunity lies in structured finance rather than speculation. It is about engineering multiple layers of capital, so no single layer has to carry the entire investment thesis.
Bitcoin becomes collateral… Collateral creates liquidity… Liquidity acquires an investment… The investment introduces another asset class and another return stream… And the original Bitcoin can remain economically productive throughout the structure.
One asset. Two return engines. Multiple layers of diversification mitigating risk.
And with FlarePoint’s partnership with Arch, we can integrate this strategy into almost any investment… as long as you act fast before the “bull wave” gets here.
