Community is at the heart of everything we do at Rooney Insurance, and we’re proud to spotlight team members who bring that commitment to life through volunteering, fundraising, and meaningful service in the communities we serve.

One example is David Truelock, one of our Personal Lines Account Executives, who runs Mission on Main Street (M.O.M.S.) with his wife, Melissa Truelock. Mission on Main Street is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving families experiencing food insecurity in the Collinsville, Oologah, Talala, and Vera communities. The organization provides nutritious food assistance through two monthly distribution days, as well as emergency assistance on an as-needed basis.

We’re proud to have had Kelly Rundle and Daniel DeSimone represent our team at the recent ABC s***t shooting event hosted by the Young Professionals Group.

With approximately 150 participants from a diverse range of construction companies—all members of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Oklahoma—the event provided valuable opportunities for networking and industry connection. Kelly and Daniel teamed up alongside peers from our sister company, Manhattan Construction, contributing to a collaborative and engaging experience.

Yesterday we celebrated our Vice President, Tim Kelley, as he gets ready to welcome baby #4! The team surprised him with gifts and cake to help prepare for the newest addition to the Kelley crew.

🌪️ Tornado season is here in Oklahoma. After the storms and tornadoes we saw last Friday evening, it’s a good reminder of how quickly our weather can change and why it’s so important to stay prepared.

Take a few minutes this week to get storm-ready:

✔️ Review your family’s emergency plan
✔️ Know your safe place (storm shelter, basement, or interior room)
✔️ Stock an emergency kit with water, snacks, flashlights, batteries, and a first aid kit
✔️ Make sure weather alerts are turned on for your phone
✔️ Keep devices charged and have portable chargers ready

Moments like last Friday remind us that preparation matters. Being ready ahead of time can make all the difference when severe weather moves in.
