The Federal Reserve announced today that it held the federal funds target range.

A helpful reminder: The Federal Reserve does not directly set mortgage rates.

Mortgage rates can react to the decision, the Fed’s language, inflation expectations and activity in the bond market. Sometimes markets have already priced in an expected decision before the announcement.

If you are buying or refinancing, the useful questions is not simply, “What did the Fed do?” It is, “How does today’s market affect my actual options, costs and timeline?”

The Tulsa County market is giving buyers something valuable this fall - a little more room to think. 💭

🗓️ September data showed:

• 2,540 active listings.
• 22.5 median days on market.
• 3.42 months of supply.

That does not mean every home will sit or every seller will negotiate. It does mean preparation matters more than panic.
