Day 1: The amount of support my son has felt from everybody means more than anyone could ever know. His friends have been there for him every second they have had a chance and it is probably the only thing that can bring a smile to our faces right now seeing Hunter smile. After being diagnosed the day of his graduation, his friends came to see him immediately after it was over and they came heavy. I was sitting out in the waiting room by the elevators and they just kept coming. As a dad, it broke my heart but in a good way. Thank you everybody. Today we leave and will be transported to St Jude’s in Memphis to begin his “Combat Deployment”. My son’s going to be fighting but just fighting in a different manner and if anyone can do it, He can. Please don’t stop praying for my boy.
