All of the volunteer fire departments in our area have truly felt the heat during this dry, windy spring. We’re so thankful our prayers for rain have finally been answered, and we’re going to keep praying for more. Jolly Crop supports many of our local departments because every single one of them deserves it.

Tulia holds a special place in our hearts. Our office sits at a busy intersection, and it’s honestly mind-blowing how often those trucks head out.

We’re incredibly proud of this community for raising nearly $10,000 in less than a week. What a testament to the kind of people who live here.

Hopefully we’re getting a reprieve from the massive grass fires for now, but the department is still responding to calls every single day. Inflation hits fire departments in ways most of us never even think about. Fuel costs, equipment repairs, tires, parts, and the wear and tear that comes with constant emergency response all add up quickly.

We know this community will hit the matching campaign goal soon. Thank y’all for sharing, donating, and supporting the people who protect us all.

One week ago, after an incredibly difficult stretch of fires across our area, we launched this matching gift campaign for the Tulia Volunteer Fire Department.

And honestly, we’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of Tulia and the surrounding communities. Individuals, businesses, families, farmers, clubs, and organizations have stepped up in such a big way to support the people who protect us all.

Thanks to that incredible support, we’ve already raised $9,950 toward our $16,000 matching goal. That means we’re getting closer to turning this campaign into $32,000 for the department.

Jolly Crop Insurance, Street Community Gin, and Tulia Veterinary Supply are continuing to match every public donation dollar-for-dollar.

This year alone, our department has already answered more calls than all of last year, and the need is very real.

You can still donate at any of these businesses, send through Cash App, or mail checks directly to the fire department. Every donation, large or small, will continue to be doubled until we reach the goal.

The drought and wind this year are as dangerous as any of us can remember. Sitting at a busy intersection in Tulia, we see every day just how hard the Tulia Volunteer Fire Department works to protect our communities.

Our office is made up of four people from Kress, so this hits especially close to home for us. We’re proud to join Street Community Gin and Tulia Vet Supply in matching every donation made until we reach our goal.

📢 Heads up for producers with approved program applications for losses due to 2023-2024 natural disasters!

USDA is maximizing disaster assistance support through a second Supplemental Disaster Relief Program (SDRP) payment to eligible producers. Application deadline has been extended to Aug. 12, 2026.

On National Agriculture Day, we’re thankful for the farmers who work tirelessly to put clothes on our backs and food on our tables.

Even on days like these, when the drought feels suffocating and commodity prices are heartbreaking. They keep going. They are the backbone of our communities and, for generations, have represented the heart and life of the Texas Panhandle.

Thank you for all that you do.

We had a growers' meeting last Friday and were truly blown away by the turnout. The feedback this week has been incredibly positive, especially around programs like SCO, STAX, ECO, MCO, ARC, PLC… and the rest of the alphabet soup.

We want to extend an open invitation to stop by anytime. No pressure, no obligation. We don’t do this just for our customers, we do it for farmers. The more y’all know about the programs available, the stronger our whole industry is.

We’re always happy to share slides, handouts, or just sit down and talk through FSA and crop insurance programs. They’re constantly changing, and at Jolly Crop Insurance, that’s all we do. Our team of six is fully dedicated to crop insurance and helping you make sense of it.
