On October 17th 2020 I was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia and was told that I had it for 2 years and didn’t even know….
I shouldn’t be here. My life was forever changed, the bone pain, fatigue & the mental health aspect of it had me shook, and still does.
After a lot of praying, daily chemo (which I still take) and my wife Mauri Lockhart having my back dealing with my roller coaster of emotions I was able to reach MMR (Major Molecular Response) it’s the closest I can ever get to remission because there isn’t a cure as of yet.
I made the decision to enjoy my life which is why I take these family trips, do date night, take a pause from music to pour into my kids and their sports
I NEVER EVER thought I’d get a disease.. a disease??? With NO cure??? Out of the blue??………..
I’ll say this…
For those of you without life insurance, I want to encourage you ALL to get SOMETHING in place… don’t be a “Go Fund Me” case and put that burden on your family… you can spend $100 in eating out or more you can certainly afford $50-$100 per month
