For many Americans, Memorial Day marks the start of summer — barbecues, parades, and long weekends. But here at Esperanza - A fresh start for homeless Veterans, we know that for many of our Veterans, today looks and feels very different.

It is a day of grief. A day of memory. A day of honoring brothers and sisters who never came home.

We see you. We sit with you in that weight. And we want you to know — your feelings today are valid, whatever they may be. There is no "right" way to observe this day when the losses are personal, when the names on the memorials belonged to people you knew and loved.

To every fallen service member — we honor your sacrifice and your life.

To every Veteran carrying the memory of someone lost — we stand beside you today and every day.

Esperanza Veterans Housing Program is here not just to provide a roof, but to walk alongside our Vets through every season — including the hard ones.

Esperanza, a non-profit for homeless veterans, received about 600 donated home furnishings from the Accessories Resource Team to upgrade the veterans' housing.
