finally finished digitizing the 135 mm slides. Some of them look like great book covers to me. Now I have to come up with book ideas to go with them!

has begun the process of digitizing old slides - wait, is that redundant? Some bring back great memories. Others will be great for book covers, maybe, someday, which is to say they are interesting, colorful, thematic, and have room for writing without bothering the picture.

wants to share a few of the corrections that Word suggested I make in a manuscript:

Instead of "She nodded her thanks and withdrew," Word thought it should be "She nodded TO her thanks and withdrew."

Instead of "... standing stones on the grass," Word wanted "stones standing on the grass."

For "would anyone have believed it?" Word offered "would anyone has believed it?"

I wrote, "He reached over to pet the animal's head," and Word wanted it to be "He managed to pet the animal's head."

Word thought the snake should "his" instead of "hiss."

And of course, instead of the hotel having some very nice "suites," Word thought it might have some very nice "suits."

I do always check its suggestions, mostly because it catches the times I've spelled a name differently than I mean to. But partly, I check for the chuckles.

has been thinking a lot about the structure of "The Lost Tanist," and has come to a decision about it. Pretty soon I'll be ready to get a proof, and then it might not be too long before I can publish it. Yay!
