Most entrepreneurs don't have a capital problem.

They have a readiness problem.

For years, conversations about access to capital have focused on credit scores, financial statements, and loan applications. While those factors matter, our latest Capital Brief suggests there may be a bigger story.

After assessing hundreds of entrepreneurs, we observed something important:

Entrepreneurs can appear both ready and not ready at the same time.

Strong business motivation, growth ambition, and financial confidence often exist alongside gaps in systems, documentation, financial infrastructure, or capital strategy.

This insight led us to explore what we call The Readiness Contradiction, the idea that capital readiness may be more developmental than transactional.

Our newest Capital Brief introduces a framework that looks beyond traditional measures and explores three dimensions of readiness:

βœ“ Behavioral Readiness
βœ“ Structural Readiness
βœ“ Capital Positioning

Because stronger businesses aren't built by access to capital alone. They are built through clarity, capability, and preparation.

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth.

A day that honors freedom, remembers sacrifice, and recognizes the strength, resilience, and contributions of generations who helped shape our communities.

Juneteenth is a reminder that progress is built together. Through culture, connection, courage, and a shared commitment to creating a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

As we reflect on the past, we also celebrate the people, stories, and communities that continue to inspire hope and possibility every day.

Freedom. Resilience. Possibility.
