⛈️ Monsoon Season Is Here ⛈️

If you experience storm damage, one of the first calls you should make is to your insurance agent.

At Steve Souchek State Farm, we’re happy to walk you through the claims process, discuss your options, and help you understand what to expect. Every situation is unique, and it’s important to know that NO contractor, public adjuster, or even our office can guarantee coverage. Coverage decisions are made by the claims department based on the facts of each individual loss and the details of your specific policy.

A few monsoon season reminders:

✅ Take photos and videos of any damage as soon as it’s safe to do so.
✅ Take reasonable steps to prevent additional damage when possible. As additional damage may not be covered.
✅ Keep records of emergency repairs and save your receipts.
✅ Be cautious of contractors going door-to-door after storms.

⚠️ Most importantly: Never sign a repair contract, assignment of benefits, or other paperwork before speaking with your insurance agent.

Unfortunately, storm season often attracts contractors who promise they can “get it covered” or “handle the insurance company for you.” Be cautious of anyone guaranteeing coverage or pressuring you to sign immediately.
