Hi everyone! I wanted to take just a bit and thank everyone for being patient with me while I've been on maternity leave.

I want to thank all of my coworkers, secretaries, and especially Kalee Samuel for helping me while I've been out. I could not have made it without y'all! I tried to work as much as I could with a newborn at home, but I'm officially back in the office!

PLEASE pay your bills on time. I can't control the mail and I can't call/text/email every person that is past due or cancelled. The high school storm shelter is open as a warming station for anyone who needs a warm place to spend some time.

You can enter through the same doors used for the tornado storm shelter. Inside, we have a few snacks and drinks available, and classrooms are open with the heat set to 75 degrees so you can sit down, get comfortable, and warm up!

If the warming station is not in use, we will close tonight at 9:00 PM and WE WILL REOPEN tomorrow morning at 6:00 AM.

If you or someone you know needs a warm, safe place, please don’t hesitate to stay or come by. We’re glad to be able to open our doors and take care of our community. If you need anything or any assistance, please let us know in the comments.

Failure to prepare is preparing to fail…and have a claim! It’s going to get cold, so take the necessary precautions to try and avoid water damage!

PREVENTION POST!!! ❄️ Cold weather is coming! ❄️ It would be a good time to purchase a water meter key from the hardware or plumbing supply store! That way you can turn your water off in an emergency before a plumber or CWL can come out. Also, put a trash can over your meter or mark it with flags so it will be easier to find in an emergency or at night!
-Unhook your water hoses and cover your outside faucets!
-Secure your crawl spaces with cardboard to keep the cold air from getting underneath!
-If your plumbing is in the attic, open your attic access to allow heat to fill the area.
-Open cabinet doors, especially if your plumbing is on an exterior wall and use space heaters.
This is just a reminder that we aren't much help until after the pipes have thawed! If your pipes do bust, call our office, and we will get to everyone as quickly as possible. ☎ 870-972-6613
