🌈🪻April is Earth month – which makes it a perfect time to shine some light on one of our charity partners; The in Memory of…Community Garden. 🌎💦
Barb and her husband Joe are excited for 2024. They shared that they have officially started working on the multicultural home that they acquired mid-season last year, making this the 5th large project the two have taken on; the two currently have a community garden, park, and 2 orchards, amongst other small endeavors.
After talking with Barb, she stated, “This is going to make this year and years coming SO much better for the garden! Thank you, and your company for seeing the need for our charity and supporting it through physical and monetary donations. I can’t tell you how hard it has been to run the day to day ourselves.”
The donation from Towne is going towards a watering system for the garden. Currently, they try to use their natural resources by collecting rain in barrels and connecting a hose for irrigation. The benefits of this watering system will be immense for the garden. It will bring better water distribution, reduced water waste, convenience and improved plant growth and health. Another huge bonus? It will save them time and allow them to work on other exciting projects!
I can’t wait to set up another volunteer event with this charity and see what they accomplish throughout the year.
