Hard does not begin to describe my day yesterday. Cookie has been a member for our family for nearly two decades. Her only defense in life was that she was adorable. If she knew you or not, all she wanted was a belly rub. If you didn’t notice her soon enough (and oblige with said belly rub) she would just move closer to you and lay in wait patiently until you noticed her. She loved everyone she met and everyone seemed to love her. I sure did.

Yesterday, amidst lots of tears, she passed peacefully in my arms. Our home today is a little sadder.
