Back-to-school routines are busy, but a quick safety reminder can make a meaningful difference.
Whether students walk, bike, ride the bus, get dropped off, or drive themselves, encourage them to:
• Stay alert and keep phones put away near roads and crossings
• Use crosswalks, follow school-zone rules, and watch for traffic
• Wear a properly fitted helmet when biking
• Wait well back from the curb for the bus and never cross without the driver’s signal
• Buckle up on every trip and avoid distracted driving
Drivers play an important role, too. Please slow down in school zones, follow drop-off procedures, and always stop for loading or unloading school buses.
At Koverman Staley Dickerson Insurance, we are proud to support safer roads and stronger communities throughout Southwest Ohio. What is one school-travel safety rule your family always follows?
