Selling a business changes more than finances.
Healthcare planning matters too.

For many business owners, selling a company represents years of hard work coming full circle.

It’s an exciting transition, but it can also raise important questions about healthcare coverage.

What happens to:
• Employer-sponsored benefits
• Business-sponsored plans
• Coverage for family members
• The arrangements that worked while you owned the business

After a sale, those details may look different.

Taking time to review your options can help avoid confusion, unexpected gaps, or rushed decisions later.

If selling your business is part of your plan, it’s worth asking:

Have you reviewed your healthcare coverage as part of your exit strategy?

A little clarity now can make the next chapter feel much smoother.

Feel free to message us or schedule a benefits review with National Benefit Plans!

Returning to work changes more than your routine.
Your benefits may have changed, too.

Going back to work is a major transition.

New responsibilities.
New schedules.
New opportunities.

But it’s also a smart time to take a closer look at your healthcare coverage.

Whether you’ve been away for months or years, today’s benefit options may look different than the ones you remember.

A quick review can help you understand:
• Eligibility rules
• Available plan options
• Costs and contributions
• Provider networks
• Prescription coverage

Many people don’t realize how much has changed until they need to use their benefits.

If you’re returning to work, it’s worth asking:

Does your coverage still fit your needs today?

A little clarity now can make the transition much smoother.

Feel free to message us or schedule a benefits review with National Benefit Plans.

Switching to part-time work can change more than your schedule.
It can also change your healthcare benefits.

Reduced hours may affect:
• Benefits eligibility
• Coverage options
• Employer contributions
• Out-of-pocket costs

Many people don’t realize something changed until they try to use their coverage.

That’s why a quick benefits review can be so helpful during a work transition.

If your hours have recently changed, it’s worth asking:

**Do your current benefits still fit your situation today?**

A little clarity now can help prevent confusion later.

If you’d like help understanding your next steps, feel free to message us or schedule a benefits review with National Benefit Plans.

Student coverage doesn't last forever.

Do you know what's next?

Many students spend years covered through a student health plan
and don't think much about what happens when that coverage ends.

Then graduation arrives.
And so do the questions.

Employer plan?
Individual coverage?
Stay on a parent's plan?
What options are actually available?

We’re here to help you through the next steps.

A denied claim raises questions.
Understanding coverage can help.

Few things are more frustrating than expecting coverage,
only to discover a claim wasn't paid the way you thought it would be.

For many people, a denied claim is the first sign that something about their coverage wasn't fully understood.

Sometimes it's a network issue.
Sometimes it's a referral requirement.
Sometimes it's a service that wasn't covered the way it was expected to be.

We’re here to help you through the next steps.

“I didn’t change anything, so I should be fine.”

We hear this all the time.

And it makes sense.

But here’s the part most people don’t realize…

Health insurance plans change every year
even if your life doesn’t.

That can mean:
• Higher premiums
• Different deductibles
• Changes in what’s covered
• Shifts in doctor networks

So while everything may feel the same… your coverage might not be.

That’s where unexpected costs and surprises come from.

Not big life changes. Just quiet updates.

Even if nothing has changed on your end, it’s still worth taking a quick look at your plan.

Because staying the same doesn’t always mean staying protected the same way!

One of the biggest misconceptions about health insurance is...

You can sign up whenever you want.

Unfortunately… that’s not how it works.

There are specific enrollment periods:
• Open Enrollment (once a year)
• Special Enrollment (after certain life events)

If you miss those windows, your options can become very limited.

We’ve seen people get stuck simply because:
• They didn’t realize they qualified for a special enrollment
• They waited too long to take action
• Or they assumed they could “do it later”

But later isn’t always available.

If something in your life has changed recently, it’s worth asking:
“Does this give me a chance to update my coverage?”

Because if it does…
that opportunity won’t last forever.

Starting your own business or going independent is exciting.

But there’s one thing that quietly disappears in the process…

Employer health insurance.
And suddenly, you’re responsible for figuring it all out on your own.

What plan makes sense?
How much should you spend?
What coverage do you actually need?

A lot of people either rush into a decision…
or put it off completely.

Neither feels great once you actually need care.

Health insurance isn’t just another task on the list.
It’s protection for the things you can’t plan for.

If you’ve recently gone self-employed, or you’re thinking about it,
it’s worth getting clarity here early.

It makes everything else feel a lot more stable.
