Due to Covid-19, You can buy Health Insurance. Beginning February 15, 2021, the federal Marketplace will open a Special Enrollment Period, which will allow new consumers as well as existing members to enroll in Marketplace coverage- with or without a Qualifying Life Event. This Special Enrollment Period will be in effect from February 15, 2021 through May 15, 2021 and includes enrollment in both medical and dental plans.
Effective Dates for these new enrollments/coverage changes will be assigned as the 1st of the month following the selection of a health plan, as seen below:
Apply/Update February 15 – February 28: March 1 Effective Date
Apply/Update March 1 – March 31: April 1 Effective Date
Apply/Update April 1 – April 30: May 1 Effective Date
Apply/Update May 1 – May 15: June 1 Effective Date
