Just read this article in the Ohio Dept of Insurance newsletter about a Home Inventory app. With hackers being so good at convincing people of who they "aren't" I just don't know that I'd want an app storing pictures of my home's inventory....NAIC Home Inventory App: Track Possessions, Simplify Claim Filing....But this is a GREAT reminder to take pictures of your rooms, closets, cabinets, garage, "junk drawers" so that after the WORST day, you can recreate the inventory of what you had. Smart to store spare copies of the pictures with family or here in our office in your "paper file"....yep, we still keep paper files!

Please DO NOT sign any rights over to a roofing company. In recent months several clients did this. These roofers opened claims for these clients who did not want claims opened. Any reputable roofing company WILL write you an estimate and they WILL write the cause of loss (Wind, Hail, Old) on the estimate. Please DO NOT give up control!

If you sustained damage in yesterday's windstorm, please take pictures of the damage, contact a tree company to clear damage (based on the pictures your insurance may cover part of the cost or put it towards your deductible). If you lost shingles please call a REPUTABLE roofing company (one that's been in business and in our area for a long time - so they will be there if you something fails) to get your roof under cover/tarp or replace the random shingles that were displaced (this will not go over your deductible). We'll be in the office Monday to answer questions or open claims for you!

Spectrum phone and internet is down in our neighborhood until at least 12:30 today. Phone calls will be forwarded to my cell phone. If it keeps ringing it means we are taking to someone, please call back.
