Congratulations to Josie on 1 year with Kaw Valley Bank!

Josie is one of our Tellers while also pursuing a degree at Washburn University. Her favorite part of working at KVB is the relationships she has built with both customers and coworkers, as well as the opportunity to help people everyday.

During her spare time you can find Josie taking photos, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time playing and watching sports with her family and friends.

Congratulations to Dr. Tom Hickman on receiving the 2026 Kaw Valley Bank Excellence in Research Award at the WU Brenneman School of Business Scholarship luncheon.
Over the past five years, Dr. Hickman has published 12 academic papers in peer-reviewed journals, including several appearing in top-tier publications. His dedication to academic excellence continues to bring distinction to the Brenneman School of Business and Washburn University.

Shaping future bankers!

Seaman High School students, Andrew and Molina, recently completed a three-month internship with us at Kaw Valley Bank, where they had the opportunity to meet with team members from every department across our banking system. Throughout the internship, they gained valuable insight into the many areas that help our bank serve customers and strengthen our community.

They also took part in our community service initiative with Project Topeka Fun Food Fridays, giving back while building meaningful professional experience. We’re proud to support the next generation of banking professionals!
