LSC-Tomball’s lifePATH™ is a four-year model of post-secondary educational opportunities for students who are neurodiverse.

Lone Star College-Tomball’s lifePATH™ program provides a unique opportunity for adult students to learn the social and skill expectations needed in the business world, the academic world, and personal relationships. LSC-Tomball’s lifePATH™ is a four-year comprehensive model of post-secondary educational opportunities for students who have disabilities that affect executive functioning. Students ca

n earn various Lone Star College certificates in Occupational Studies, ACT® WorkKeys® Assessments, the ACT® National Career Readiness Certification, and can choose to earn college credit in general Lone Star College credit courses. Students can exit lifePATH after two-years, receiving a Lone Star College Certificate in Foundational Occupational Studies. All students who choose a four-year lifePATH™ option participate in an internship during their fourth year.

🌱✨ Where Science Meets Sustainability! ✨🌱

The Science First Success Center (SciFi) is partnering with lifePATH to bring STEM learning to life through the lifePATH campus garden. This hands on space allows students to connect with one another while learning how to grow their own food and practice sustainable gardening. 🌿

Through this collaboration, the SciFi Center applies real world science by testing soil health and identifying the nutrients needed to support plant growth. The goal is to promote healthier gardening practices, reduce the use of harsh chemicals, and show how science connects to everyday activities like gardening and environmental sustainability. 🌎🔬

Students are currently planting a variety of herbs and vegetables including pepper cilantro, mustard spinach, oregano, garlic chives, cilantro, strawberries, and serrano cilantro, helping the garden continue to grow while expanding their hands on learning experience. 🌱

Join us on April 22 for our Earth Day event, “Let’s Get Down to Earth.” The campus community is invited to celebrate the garden’s progress and participate in activities such as a plant exchange and soil testing. We hope to see you there!🌍

🎉 What an incredible week for lifePATH students! 🎉

Our Annual Gallery Walk was a tremendous success. Students proudly showcased their hard work, from research projects and presentations to resumes and personal achievements. It was inspiring to see our students confidently share their stories, reflect on their growth, and engage with faculty, families, and community supporters. We are so proud of the dedication and progress they demonstrated! 🌟📚

And the excitement did not stop there… our Special Olympics basketball team brought home the SILVER medal! 🥈🏀Their effort, perseverance, and team spirit made our campus incredibly proud.

Congratulations to all of our students for representing lifePATH with confidence, passion, and pride! 👏

Stop by on March 6, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lone Star College–Tomball in N103 and the Upstairs Commons to explore the incredible projects our students have worked on all year. From research papers to creative presentations and professional resumes, you will see their growth and achievements firsthand. 🌟📚

Families, campus employees, community members, and prospective students are all welcome. There is no need to RSVP. This is a come and go event. We look forward to celebrating with you! 🎓✨

Our third year OLSA students put their professional skills to the test during Speed Interviews! 💼✨

In this engaging activity, students interviewed one another in two minute segments and provided constructive feedback to strengthen communication, confidence, and presentation skills. ⏱️🗣️

This fast paced format challenges students to think on their feet, clearly articulate their strengths, and make a powerful first impression. Practicing in a supportive environment helps refine body language, eye contact, and responses to common interview questions. These experiences are invaluable in real world interviews, where employers often base decisions on confidence, clarity, and professionalism. 🌟

We are proud of our students for stepping outside of their comfort zones and preparing for future career success! 🎓🚀

Our Special Olympics athletes are putting in the work and practicing hard as they gear up for the March basketball competition. The dedication, teamwork, and determination we see at every practice is truly inspiring, and we could not be more proud of their commitment and heart.

P.J. is this weeks Alumni Success Spotlight. His positive attitude, dedication, and growth during his time in the program left a lasting impact on our campus community. Seeing alumni like P.J. continue to thrive reminds us of the importance of lifelong learning, independence, and self-advocacy.

Reflecting on his lifePATH experience, P.J. shares,
“Being in [lifePATH] has taught me a great deal about the importance of time management and… making my own decisions and schedule…”.

P.J. is “currently [working at] a part-time job at the Performing Arts Center at Lone Star College-Tomball… [for] three years now”, and he greatly enjoys his work. His continued employment highlights his commitment, reliability, and strong work ethic.

P.J.’s advice to current lifePATH students is “to stay open minded in class and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Your instructors are there for you first! I’d suggest finding opportunities to meet people both within and outside the program…”.

We are incredibly proud of P.J. and the meaningful path he continues to build. His story serves as encouragement for current students and a reminder of the lasting impact of the lifePATH program.
