As harvest gets underway, please remember:
• Have any old crop stored in a bin measured before placing new crop in that same bin.
• Notify us as soon as you begin harvest so we can file a notice of loss and help ensure compliance with any claim deadlines.

Crop Insurance Billing Updates & Reminders 🌾

This growing season has brought its share of challenges—too dry, too wet, wind, hail, and everything in between. A strong crop insurance program helps provide peace of mind when the weather is out of our control.

• To receive the 5% hail/wind bill discount (RCIS), payments must be made by August 15, 2026.

• RMA and USDA have deferred billing and interest on MPCI policies by 60 days this year. MPCI policies paid by November 30, 2026, will not incur interest.

• Once you begin harvest and have your combine dialed in, give us a call so we can submit a claim. This helps ensure no deadlines are missed. If final production shows a claim is not needed, it can always be withdrawn.

Cue the fireworks, fire up the grill, and get ready for what might be the most ambitious birthday cake of all time. 🎂

America turns 250 this year, which means 250 candles on the cake … so someone should probably alert the fire department.

However you’re celebrating the Fourth of July, we hope it’s filled with great food, good company, and a sky full of fireworks.

Our office will be closed on Friday, July 3rd, in observance of the holiday. We’ll be back and ready to help on Monday. Wishing you a safe and happy Fourth!

Hope everyone's planting season went well! Now is the time to get over to the FSA office and certify your crops. You can ask them to email us a copy of your 578 producer print also.

Also remember if you need to replant contact us prior to replanting so we can be sure to get your claim covered.

📢 Heads up for producers with approved program applications for losses due to 2023-2024 natural disasters!

USDA is maximizing disaster assistance support through a second Supplemental Disaster Relief Program (SDRP) payment to eligible producers. Application deadline has been extended to Aug. 12, 2026.

Planting season is on its way. Our hope is for everyone to have a safe and efficient planting season. If you run into any replant issues remember to contact us ASAP to file a notice. As long as its less than 100 acres per unit we can have you cleared to replant in just a couple minutes.

If you are utilizing any of the following precision planting systems we can help you accurately report your acres for insurance and save you a lot of time and headaches.

John Deere Operations Center – captures planter/GPS data and can summarize acres planted.
Climate FieldView – cloud platform storing planting data (acres, field boundaries, crop) that can be exported for reporting.
Ag Leader Technology – Precision Ag suite including SMS software that compiles planting and acreage summaries.
Granular / AgStudio – agronomic and precision data platforms that integrate across equipment types and can produce field acreage data.
Other Farm Management Software (FMS) tools – many producers use third-party FMS platforms that integrate planter/GPS data and can output acreage and planting summaries. These include tools from other OEM or independent providers.

Our experience has shown some measurable savings on your crop insurance premiums without having to mess with field boundaries and sizes at your local FSA office.
