🌳💥 Did You Know? Fallen Trees Aren’t Always Someone’s Fault…

We see this all the time—
A storm rolls through, a tree falls, and suddenly there’s damage to a home or vehicle.

Here’s what surprises most people:

👉 If a healthy tree falls, even from your neighbor’s yard…
➡️ It’s usually considered an “Act of God”
➡️ Which means YOUR insurance typically responds—not your neighbor’s

And here’s the part people really don’t expect:

❌ If a tree falls in your yard without damaging anything
➡️ The cleanup cost is often NOT covered

⸻

🚨 Before you file a claim… CALL US FIRST

Filing a claim when it’s not necessary can:
• Impact your future rates
• Put a claim on your record
• Cost you more in the long run than the damage itself

⸻

✅ That’s where we come in.

We’ll help you:
✔ Understand if it’s actually worth filing
âś” Review your deductible vs. damage
âś” Avoid unnecessary claims
✔ Make sure you’re protected the right way

⸻

📞 Not sure what to do after storm damage?
Call our office first—we’ll walk you through it the right way.

Because the goal isn’t just to have insurance…
👉 It’s to use it SMART

⸻

Coverage varies by policy. Always review your specific coverage with your agent.

🚨🌬️With the strong winds moving through the area, we know many homeowners are checking their roofs, siding, and property for damage. Before filing an insurance claim, it’s very important to know what your wind and hail deductible is.

Many homeowners are surprised to learn that wind and hail deductibles are often higher than standard deductibles, and in many cases are based on a percentage of the home’s insured value, not a flat dollar amount.

Filing a claim when the damage is less than your deductible will not result in a payout, but it can still show up on your insurance record. That’s why it’s always best to understand your coverage first.

âś… Our advice:
Before submitting a claim, give our office a call. We are happy to review your policy with you, explain your deductible, and help you determine the best next step.

Our goal is to make sure you’re fully informed and protected before any claim is filed.
