When I launched Apricity Financial Planning in 2023, I built the website myself, and at the time, I was incredibly proud of it.

Since then, significant growth has happened - both personally and within the business. And as we grow, the way we show up in the world gets to grow too.

I am excited to share that the new Apricity Financial Planning website is live. It feels more reflective of the work I am doing today and the clients I am honored to serve.

To everyone who has supported this journey - whether you've trusted me with your financial planning, collaborated behind the scenes, offered guidance, encouragement, or simply cheered me on - thank you. Truly. This business exists because of community.

This new website is an outward expression of the growth happening within me and within Apricity. I am so grateful for where we've been, and even more excited about where we're headed.

It’s normal to take a financial risk when you decide to start creating the life you want instead of operating on autopilot.

The key to not drowning as a result is defining-

💰How much you are willing to risk, and where that money will come from

📊 What system you will use to determine whether or not to invest more in the life you are creating

👩🏻‍🏫 Who is holding you accountable to make sure you stick with the system

I had a system - but without accountability, I gave myself permission to make purchases based on expected business growth instead of sticking with the system. Sometimes the excitement of something new and shiny can cause us to bend our own rules, even when we are the ones who wrote the rules.

If you recently went through divorce, lost a spouse, changed careers, or became the primary decision-maker in your finances, and suddenly you're the one responsible for all of it - this is for you.

Before you do anything, remember -
You are not behind. You are in transition.

Now... where to start?

Before you invest, before you reorganize everything, before you panic about retirement or needing to go back to work full time, get clear on your monthly reality.

Not an overwhelming spreadsheet. Just three numbers:

↗️ What's going out?
💲 How much is sitting in cash right now?

Clarity lowers anxiety.
Visibility is power.

You don't need to solve your entire financial future this week, you simply need to get your footing, to understand where you are, and to give yourself permission to navigate the transition at your own pace.

Hi friends 💛
With so many new faces here and lots happening behind the scenes, it feels like the right moment to (re)introduce Apricity Financial Planning.

When I launched Apricity in July 2023, my vision was to serve Ohio’s educators. That work is still very close to my heart (I get you!), and about half of my clients are current or former educators.

At the same time, both Apricity and I have grown since then.

What I’ve come to understand is that my real specialty isn’t just knowing pension systems or financial rules (though those matter). It’s working with women who’ve been told, or who have told themselves, that they’re “not good with money,” and helping them rebuild confidence by seeing what they’ve already done well and how their money can better support the life they are building.

From a client perspective, not much is changing. I still offer holistic financial planning paired with investment management. What has shifted is clarity around who I serve best: women who are ready to take an honest look at their finances and want more confidence, alignment, and ease around money.

A newly revamped website that reflects this vision is coming very soon (hopefully next week!). But for now, I’m just really glad you’re here.

A huge thank you to these lovely souls who showed up this morning with open hearts and minds ready to shift some money stories. 💛 I am so grateful for each one of you.

It never ceases to amaze me the beautifully co-created conversations that come from these events. It’s always exactly what the women in that room needed that day.

💰🧘🏻‍♀️Day #1 of the Mindful Money Challenge!

✍️ This is a journal challenge ✍️

How it works:

Each day we will draw 2 cards from my Girls Gone Happy money deck. The intention behind these cards is to inspire thought- deep thought.

To participate in the challenge, set aside some time for yourself to journey through what was ignited in you when you read these cards.

Please note:

There is no right or wrong way to journal. Find a notebook or piece of paper and let your mind, heart, and soul flow into the paper.

Here are some ideas for setting up your space before you begin (again, all optional, there is no right or wrong way to journal):

🕯️ Light a candle, turn on a diffuser, or find any way to fill the space with a beautiful aroma
🎶 Turn on some music or sounds that allow you to focus (not usually the same ones that make you want to dance)
💡 Dim the lights or use only sunlight or a lamp instead of LEDs or bright white lights
🌳 All of these things can often be accomplished simultaneously (along with many other benefits) if you are able to journal outside.
