💙 Cares for Classrooms Spotlight 💙

Last year, Eisenhower Intermediate School was selected as a recipient of a Directions Cares for Classrooms Grant. With support from the grant and generous community donations, School Nurse Ashley Sagrero was able to create the school's Care Closet, providing students with access to clothing, hygiene items, and other essentials when they need them most.

"The Care Closet has become so much more than a collection of supplies and clothing. It's a place where students can find what they need, feel supported, and return to class with confidence. Thanks to the support of Directions Credit Union and our community partners, we're able to help meet basic needs with dignity and care."

We're proud to support the educators and school professionals who inspire, encourage, and empower students every day. Grants of up to $500 are available to help fund projects, programs, supplies, technology, and other resources that make a meaningful impact in schools and classrooms.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at our Shred Event this past Saturday at our Ontario branch in partnership with Richland Pregnancy Services!

Thanks to your support, we were able to help community members safely dispose of sensitive documents while also collecting donations for a great local organization. We’re grateful to everyone who stopped by, shredded, donated, and helped make the event such a success.

Events like these are a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish when our community comes together. Thank you for your generosity and support of Richland Pregnancy Services. We look forward to seeing you at future events!

🎉💙 Every child deserves to feel celebrated on their birthday.

Earlier this month, members of our management team helped assemble and donate 40 Birthday Party Decoration Supply Kits to Lucas County Children Services. Each kit includes party essentials for a family of eight, helping make birthdays a little brighter for children whose families may not have the means to purchase decorations and supplies.

The kits pair perfectly with birthday cakes donated by local bakeries, helping create special celebrations and lasting memories for local kids.

A special thank you to everyone who helped assemble the kits at our August Manager Meeting. Brittany and Kate had the pleasure of delivering them to Kevin at Lucas County Children Services, who was incredibly grateful for the support.

Because every child deserves a reason to smile on their special day. 🎂🥳
