Here are a few pointers if you feel as though you are being scammed:
1. The scammers are pressing or prying you too much where you don’t have time to think.
2. They are pretending to be someone here at The Toledo Police Credit Union, trying to ask you for account information. DO NOT GIVE IT OUT!!
3. If they are telling you that they can only send you so much money and you have to send back the difference. YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO DO THAT.
4. If the scammers start threating you by saying if you don’t help them out, you will be arrested or your account will be canceled. HANG UP RIGHT AWAY!
If you think you are being scammed or are unsure. Immediately hang up and call us at the credit union. Ask to talk to someone before things get too far. We are always here to help.
