Do you know how to determine what the right liability coverage is for you?

Not every situation is created equal and that also goes for your liability coverage on your home and auto.

Your first step is determining your assets. Do you own a home, have retirement accounts, investments, toys(boats, atvs, motorcycle) seasonal home?

Your liability coverage should total all of those. If the coverage on your auto is $250k/$500k and you need $750k, you should absolutely add an umbrella to your portfolio. They are generally very low cost ($250-$500/year!) for $1 million in coverage.
