I started in the mortgage industry over 5 years ago and haven’t looked back. When I graduated from Northwood University, I wasn’t entirely sure where my career was headed and I kind of stumbled into the mortgage industry, thankfully. Why do I say “thankfully?” Because every day I get to do something I love: help people achieve their dream of homeownership. I can’t imagine doing anything else with
my life at this point. I love educating buyers throughout the process. For me, it’s a rewarding experience knowing that I’m able to help someone understand one of the biggest financial decisions of their life. The mortgage process, for me, all comes down to communication. The way I see it, 60% of what I do is communicate and 40% is understanding the guidelines. Homebuyers need to be aware at all times of what’s going on with their loan. They also need to be able to get payment estimates at all hours of the day and on weekends, which is exactly why I give my cell phone number to clients and referral partners. I make sure everyone knows they can reach out to me 7 days a week.
