Has the market given you more than you expected?

What happens next?

If your gains are substantially ahead of your financial projections, celebrate the win. Then consider whether it is time to protect a portion of those gains.

Annuities protect your principal from loss.

Multi Year Guaranteed Annuities provide guaranteed interest for a specified period.

Fixed indexed annuities can provide index-linked interest potential without direct participation in the stock market.

I bring 44 years of annuity experience to the conversation.

Let’s compare your options and see whether protecting some of your “win” makes sense.

All guarantees are backed by the financial strength and claims-paying ability of the company we select. Contract provisions, limitations, and surrender charges apply. Full details are always provided.

Ohio teachers and retirees, here's a retirement statistic that deserves your attention. Understanding it could have a meaningful impact on your retirement planning.

We did the calculations for a teacher that retired ten years ago, in 2016.

They have seen a total Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) pension increase of 7% over the last decade.

You’re probably thinking prices are up more than 7%. And you’d be right.

This is not meant to be a criticism of your plan. It’s just the facts around how your COLA is designed to work.

This inflation risk also affects members of SERS and OPERS.

Keep this in mind as you build your plans or as you work with your advisor. Share this information with other teachers and public union members you know.
