We have lost many friends and family to cancer. We have been Relayers and Relay For Life supports for 11 years now. I relay because I never got to meet my Mother-in-Law, and have lost many friends and family in that past.

This year it's even more personal. My mother was 75 years very young, and had the energy of an army - just ask any of her friends - sometimes it was tough to keep up with her. But until the very last day she was hopeful, positive, upbeat, and engaging. We lost count of how many "I love yous" were said, still never enough.

Bizworks NW will always be a supporter, a portion of our profits will support two charitable organizations - the first is our continued support and volunteering with Relay For Life and our team Wally's Jolly Walkers alongside Wally & Son Automotive Service & Repair. When I was a child I would make cash registers out of cardboard boxes. I wanted to push those buttons and count the money.

When I was ten I wanted to own a bank.

When I was in college I had a part-time retail job that I turned into a full-time job taking care of the money, the bookkeeping, and all the back-end paperwork and operations. Just because I asked and I knew I could do it. And I WANTED to do it!

Every job I have held involved money, bookkeeping, or operations in some way.

This is fun. This is the play. This is the puzzle that challenges my brain and gives me amazing satisfaction and pride when it's solved.
