I never even thought saving for retirement was that important until I had a cardiac arrest and had to manage being out of work for three months. During that time, I had spent what little money I had accumulated in my 401K. For me, this was a sobering moment. I felt like I would be working until I die. Then I decided to fight the odds, look for a better job and ways to plan my future smarter. My search has led me to New York Life where, as an Agent, I now help people overcome their fear of failure and reach retirement.
