🎥JRNL 2510- Introduction to Broadcasting🎥

Interested in TV or film?
ABAC alumni work in TV in Albany, Atlanta, Tennessee, North Carolina and Kentucky. Because we teach practical skills in broadcasting and communication, places such as WALB and the Farm Monitor are actively recruiting ABAC graduates.

In broadcasting classes, students learn video production by working on regular broadcasts. Later they can work on feature length documentaries produced at ABAC — such as “Stone and Story,” opening next month at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture.

Our students get internships in broadcasting, including paid travel and experience on Carry The Load, a national relay to honor veterans and restore the true meaning of Memorial Day. Students sometimes complete video capstone projects to showcase their skills. ABAC broadcasting students have won national awards and traveled to India, Norway, England, Wales and across the United States working on projects.
Broadcasting class is an Area F elective in Writing and Communication and Agricultural Communication, and may be substituted in Area F in other disciplines.

This class is offered only in the fall. For more information, ask your advisor or contact Dr. Thomas Grant, Carlton 344 Tifton Campus, [email protected].

Ode to FAFSA

How do I love the FAFSA? Let me count the ways!
I love to renew the FAFSA so my funds reset
I love the federal and state money that I get
And for all of the classes that fed-money pays.

But I cannot entertain more delays!
I must put these devices to good use
Lest all funding be greatly reduced
Because my procrastination betrays.

But now I clearly see that I have time
Though May 1st be quickly approaching
And the Summer is a short time away

I will adhere to this sonnet and rhyme
And all of Financial Aid’s coaching
And renew my beloved FAFSA-- TODAY!
