PLEASE READ CA Insurance commissioner NEWS: Action Alert: Commissioner Lara strengthens Prop.
103 with first-ever coverage commitments from
homeowners and commercial insurance companies
under wildfire catastrophe modeling regulation
submitted for final approval.
The Department of Insurance has submitted the final
wildfire catastrophe modeling regulation to the Office
of Administrative Law for approval.
• The submission follows several months of
extensive public input, expert consultations,
and multiple public hearings and workshops
held by the Department.
• This approach balances the urgency of the
insurance availability crisis that homeowners
and businesses are facing with the need for
transparency and public input.
• The Office of Administrative Law is now
reviewing the regulation for compliance and,
once approved, it will become effective by the
end of December 2024.
Background: Currently under Prop. 103, insurance companies are allowed to raise rates on
homeowners, businesses, and consumers, but are not required to offer coverage in wildfire-prone
areas.
• This “first-of-its-kind in California’s history” regulation strengthens Prop. 103 by establishing
unprecedented coverage commitments from insurance companies to increase their policy
offerings in underserved areas as a condition of incorporating catastrophe modeling into
ratemaking.
• This move is aimed at stabilizing the insurance market and expanding options for
homeowners and businesses in high wildfire-risk areas.
• By increasing insurance availability, the Department’s approach aims to achieve greater
affordability and stability within California’s insurance and real estate markets.
What’s next: Cal Poly Humboldt is convening a strategy group of researchers and wildland fire
experts to make recommendations to Commissioner Lara for steps to create the nation’s first public
wildfire catastrophe model. The group will hold a virtual meeting on Friday, November 15, at
12:30PM and the public is invited to view the meeting and learn about this groundbreaking project.

For anyone who has the CA Fair Plan. PLEASE pay attention to when your renewal policy is due and PAY at least a day before it's due. They are cancelling policies that don't get paid by the due date and NOT reinstating them. You'll have to re-apply for coverage. Please call me if you have any questions or need us to make a payment for you over the phone.

Someone once told me you have to choose which hill you die on. Get ready to fill out your reports on me, ‘cause I'm going to vent here. Frankly I expect some "unfriending" to happen and that is fine too.
I believe we all have the right to worship as we please, but I also know that our country, the United States of America, was founded on Christian principles. I believe we should be proud of our country. A quote is a quote; It should not be amended or watered down.
The news media should not be afraid to use the "Love of Christ" part. Answering “Why”, they state, “Because, using the words Christ or God might offend someone!” Well, now it's my turn to be offended!
I'm offended that the news media would edit it out. I’m offended that Christians are being asked to tread lightly, so as not to offend someone of another religion. This man, Jesus, loved God, loved his people, loved the world, and gave his life for the sins of ALL people so that those who “believe in Him, and accept Him as their personal Savior, will have everlasting life!!!”
This Founding Principle is actually embedded in our Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” Why would the left lopsided media continue to edit this truth?!
I hope every Christian or every person that believes in God who is NOT OFFENDED will copy this and paste it to their status...“If we ever forget that we're one nation under GOD, then we will be a nation gone under.” ~Ronald Reagan.

OK gotta laugh at this one. Carrier is sending out notices of the Non renewals being reversed due to "The policy non-renewal has been reversed due to recent catastrophic weather events near the insured's property". WHAT? In other words the are being told to reverse the NR's because the Cal Dept of Insurance told them to! See Link.

Anyone with a Non-renewal notice on their homeowners insurance GREAT NEWS! If it's Nationwide they are supposed to be reversing their decision and renewing policies. If I'm your broker please contact me so I can make sure everything is renewed. This has been a 3 month struggle and I appreciate all your patients. LOVE 3R's

Trees are supposed to be here on Monday Nov 25th. We will be selling that day if they come in early enough. Otherwise look for us to be open starting Tuesday the 26th. If the Lions members are not there, Dave and his staff have offered to again help this year. Go on into the store and ask. Merry Christmas!!!!

I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet but Christmas Trees are coming again this year. With the help from The Three Rivers Mercantile we will have over 150 trees very reasonably priced. Delivery of trees should be around DEC 1st. Details to follow.
