FAQ: What counts as an HVAC or plumbing emergency?
In winter, anything that risks damage to your home — or leaves you without heat — is an emergency. At GMS, here’s what we tell people to watch for:

*No Heat*
If your furnace locks out or your boiler quits, don’t wait. Oshkosh winters don’t leave much margin.

*Frozen or burst pipes*
If water stops flowing or you see frost on exposed piping, call before it becomes a bigger problem.

*Water leaks near your water heater, boiler, or softener*
Small leaks turn into big repairs fast.

*Strange smells, electrical burning, or smoke from equipment*
Shut it down and call. Safety first.

*Loud bangs, grinding, or vibration*
Your system is telling you something’s wrong.
