Matt Ainley, PE is the CEO of 4Creeks, Inc., a California-based engineering, architecture, surveying, planning, and construction company. Matt and three other colleagues founded 4Creeks, Inc. in 2008 and it has grown to over 200 employees in 7 locations across California and Colorado. As of 2023, 4Creeks (through its parent company, 4CH) is 100% employee owned.

Matt joined the ACEC Life/Health Board of Trustees in 2023 and has served as the President of the Sequoia Chapter of ACEC California in the past. At 4Creeks, Matt leads a team of visionaries and problem solvers that are dedicated to crafting innovative solutions that address the complex challenges of today’s world. The Life/Health Trust aims to provide rich products and services specifically for ACEC Member firms, drawing on the direct experiences of Trustees such as Matt.

The ACEC Life/Health Trust was honored to speak this week at the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Annual Convention & Legislative Summit. The session, moderated by Diana O'Lare, focused on the broader forces driving change in healthcare and what they mean for ACEC Member firms. The Trust's, Mark Van Elden, and Brian E. Hill, MD from HIPnation shared practical, forward-thinking approaches to managing cost, improving access, and rethinking how firms support the well-being of their workforce.

Trustee Spotlight: Elizabeth Stolfus

Elizabeth Stolfus is the President and CEO of Stolfus & Associates, Inc., a Colorado transportation engineering, and planning consulting firm. She founded the firm in 2003 and leads her team to create long-lasting results that serve Colorado communities. Elizabeth joined the ACEC Life/Health Board of Trustees in 2019.

Elizabeth has been active at the state and national levels of ACEC for over 20 years. She has served as ACEC Colorado President, National Director, and PAC Champion. She has also served as a Board Member of ACEC Research Institute, Planning Cabinet member, a Women In Leadership Steering Committee member, and the Vice Chair of the ACEC National Executive Committee. The ACEC Life/Health Trust delivers exceptional products and services to ACEC Member firms, thanks to the leadership and guidance of Elizabeth and the other Trustees.

Trustee Spotlight: Heath Overfield, PE

Heath Overfield is the current Chairman of the ACEC Life/Health Trust Board of Trustees and has been serving as a Trustee since 2015. Heath is the CEO of Engineering Associates, an employee-owned civil engineering and land surveying firm. For more than 60 years, Engineering Associates has provided engineering and surveying services throughout Wyoming and has grown to nine offices.

Engineering Associates has utilized both the UHC fully-insured medical plans and the Select level-funded plans offered by the Trust. Our products and services are designed exclusively for ACEC Member firms and developed based on firsthand experience shared by our Trustees, like Heath, whose firms utilize our products.
