For over three decades we have been Houston’s top tier choice for all bonding needs, and in 2021 we expanded into Montgomery County with our second location in The Woodlands. 2013. Bo Campbell handles all of our accounting and financial investments. We are proud to be family owned and operated. Cox has been a full member of the Professional Bondsman of Texas organization since 1995, and from 2005-2009 he served as a Parliamentarian on the Harris County Bail Bond Association. In 2008 Mr. Cox won a victorious battle for the bail bond industry in the “Cox vs. State of Texas” case where he amended the law in which the county stops calculating interest on a forfeited bail bond after the defendant gets rearrested. In 2019 we were nominated by Expertise.com as one of Houston’s Top 16 Bail Bonds. It’s a good feeling dealing with a company of our credentials and reputation. At Cox Bail Bonds we pride ourselves for being a truly honest company with integrity and ethics. Thank you Houston and surrounding areas for your continued support.

Some wild Texas outlaw history!

“The old jail in San Elizario, Texas, is the only jail that Billy the Kid ever broke IN to. It seems that Billy traveled from Las Cruces, New Mexico, into San Elizario after learning that his friend, Melquiades Segura has been arrested in San Elizario. Upon his arrival at around 3 am, Billy the Kid knocked on the door of the jail, waking up the Mexican guards. Billy posed as a Texas Ranger and told the guard he had two American Prisoners. As the guard opened the door, he found himself eye to eye with Billy’s 44 revolver. Billy quickly took the guard’s guns, helped his friend out, put the guard in the jail and threw away the key. Billy and his friend Segura immediately crossed over the Rio Grande into Mexico, which at that time was only two and a half miles away from San Elizario. Here's a photo of what the jail looks like today. The statue on the right is none other than Billy the Kid. It's now a museum, and an interesting one at that.”
