🚨 SCAM ALERT – PLEASE SHARE 🚨
We are seeing an alarming increase in scams targeting families with loved ones in jail, on probation, or going through the court system. These scammers are not always claiming to be bail bondsmen.
They may pretend to be:
❌ A bail bond company
❌ A court-related program
❌ Someone collecting money for classes ❌ Someone collecting money for an ankle monitor
❌ Someone claiming they can help get a loved one released faster
They often pressure families by saying:
🚩 "Don't hang up."
🚩 "You must pay right now."
🚩 "Your loved one won't get out if you don't pay immediately."
🚩 "You'll lose your money if you wait."
These tactics are designed to create panic and prevent you from verifying who you're talking to.
Recently, an 83-year-old woman was scammed out of $7,700. Unfortunately, she is not alone.
PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELF:
✅ Never send money to someone you have not verified.
✅ Never make a payment because someone is pressuring you.
✅ Hang up and independently verify the company.
✅ Check Google reviews and make sure the business is legitimate.
✅ If something feels off, trust your instincts.
Most of us in the bail bond industry know each other. If you're not sure whether a bondsman, company, or program is legitimate, pick up the phone and call a trusted local bondsman before sending money.
At Mom's Bail Bonds, we would much rather answer your questions for free than see you become the next victim.
